You wrote your book, packaged it just how you wanted, researched keywords, priced your book and it’s now available for sale on Amazon—perhaps other stores too—worldwide! Congratulations!
But what now? How can you give your book the best opportunity to succeed?
As self-published authors we can sometimes have an uphill climb to convince potential readers that our book is worth a look. Despite some high-profile self-published successes out there, there is still considerable stigma around self-publishing.
The beauty of self-publishing is how easy it is for any author to publish their work. But too often, we forget that just because anyone can do it, doesn’t mean anyone can do it well.
It’s a question we get asked often, and see asked just about everywhere -
How much does it really cost to self-publish a book? The answer, like so much in life, is “it depends”.
Quite honestly, there really is no limit to how much you could spend on self-publishing your book.
There is, however, a floor. If you have a book that you’d like to publish yourself on Amazon, Barnes and Noble, iBooks, etc. in ebook and print, you can do it with a budget of exactly $0.
